Picture fault or lines on the screen
Does your laptop have a picture fault or lines on the screen?
Another common fault we see here at mylaptopscreenrepair.com, is that of picture fault or coloured lines.
Picture faults can take many forms, the most common being distorted or fuzzy images, only half the screen being displayed or flickering displays.
Lines across a screen, sometimes one thin line, spreading into multiple lines is a common laptop screen fault, although occasionally this may also be a graphic chip fault on the laptop itself. If you have another computer monitor, plug this into the laptop (VGA) port and see if you can observe the same fault on the computer monitor screen.
Click on our video link here for a video to show you how this is done. If you can see lines on both the external monitor and laptop screen, then the fault is due to the graphics chip, if you can’t see lines on the external monitor, then you almost certainly have a screen fault.
Our experienced engineers will quickly diagnose the fault for you and contact you to advise of the fault cause - we always quote before carrying out repairs and our no fix, no fee means no cost to you if you decide not to proceed.
